Caitlyn is a senior at the University of Mississippi pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with minors in Intelligence and Security Studies and Legal Studies. She enjoys studying international relations and the complex situations that occur every day around the world – such as terrorism. At GARI, she is a research intern where she conducts open source research on cross disciplinary topics such as the environment, technology, energy, politics, etc. and she assesses how they all impact each other.  Some of the specific topics she has focused on this summer are Climate Change and Energy.

The world must establish a genuine dialogue between the most advanced technologies and artificial reasoning capabilities on the one hand, and the normative and critical capabilities of the social sciences on the other. We have reached the point where their mutual inspiration and cross-fertilization is a must.
